Physical Therapy in Mountain Brook and Birmingham for Hip
Stand on the edge of a step, preferably facing a mirror.
Engage your inner unit.
Drop your right leg off the edge of the step by allowing the right side of your pelvis to drop down and the left hip drop out to the side slightly.
Using the muscles in your left hip and buttocks, bring your pelvis level again (the right foot will become parallel to the left again).
Keep your hands on your hips to feel if your back muscles are engaging.
Do not lift your leg by hiking the hip with your low back muscles. Try to isolate the left hip and buttocks muscles.
Hold and repeat as advised by your Iron City Physical Therapy Physical Therapist.
