Leg Length Discrepancy (LLD) is a common condition affecting up to 90% of the population. LLD is a condition in which the lower limbs are not equal in length. It’s classified as either structural (anatomical) or functional, depending on the underlying cause. While most cases are mild and cause no symptoms, people with a more significant discrepancy may experience pain, gait abnormality, spinal deformity, or joint degeneration. Physical Therapy can help in several ways, depending on the type and cause of the LLD.
